JULY 2ND

Today we went to the Kid Zone park at Mount Trashmore with Cora, a friend we knew from NY.  It was sooooo hot but the kids had fun.  Afterwards we ran to walmart to exchange the photos from the beach that arrived damaged and picked up a couple other items.  We came home and had dinner and then the kids had a patriotic glow bath!  They had a blast with the glow sticks and brought them downstairs to continue to play in the dark them.  We had a really good day today.

JULY 1ST

Today Tyler woke up at 6:00 but came into my room and climbed into bed and fell back to sleep.  The 3 of us didn't wake up until 10:30am!  I finished my 5 little duck finger puppets and my mom ordered me the book, it's on it's way - I can't wait for it to get here!  I still want to make the mom and daddy duck.  


This evening Larkin ran away.  She got out through part of the fence that must have fallen over in the last couple storms we've had and I didn't notice them.  She didn't want to come home and I ended up having to carry her home.  I'm glad we found her but I was pretty upset with her.

JUNE 30TH

Today was a neighborhood cookout.  I didn't even know they did those here!  I didn't go, it was too hot and I didn't feel like going to eat free food and socialize with strangers so we stayed home and my friend Aubrey came to visit!  Aubrey and I went through Legalman A School together back in 2001 and we've been friends ever since.  I've only seen her a handful of times since we graduated A school but we've always kept in touch.  One time Aubrey came to visit me in Norfolk and another time in Florida when I was home on leave she drove from Jacksonville to my home town.  It was great catching up with an old friend and meeting her youngest daughter for the first time!  That is Zoe.

JUNE 29TH

Today we went berry picking with Joy.  Peyton ate a ton of berries right off the bush!  We had a great time and on the way there I saw a crab shack where we can buy crabs and I saw Missy Elliott's mansion!  I wonder if she'd let us move in since she's probably hardly ever there....  

We also got to cut another link off of our countdown chain today.

JUNE 28TH

Brooke flew out today for 5 weeks.  It was a sad day, Peyton was pretty upset.  We got two texts today from Sarah (Peyton's preschool teacher) and Joy letting us know that Kohl's had SkippyJon Jones books and dolls for $5 each!  We headed to Kohl's after lunch and got 3 stuffed animals and 4 hardcover books!  We also walked around bed bath and beyond and I spent my gift card.  Man that store is dangerous!
